Virgin means that it is the first extraction of oil from the fruit. They usually extract the oil with a mechanical press. Since it is the first extraction, it has more nutrients and tastes better. After they get the Virgin oil, they can keep extracting more oil by using higher pressures or even by using chemicals. This oil is not referred to as Virgin. It has less nutrients and doesn’t taste as good.

No, coconut oil does not help release fat reserves. As a dietitian, I do not recommend you use coconut oil. Coconut oil is a saturated fat, and can be used by the body to make cholesterol. The main way to release fat tissue reserves is to eat less calories and exercise. The exercise is to keep the muscles and use fat instead.Using more fiber and foods of plant origin, to fill your you up with less calories.Good luck.

Because coconut oil is very very high in SATURATED FAT…..and usually food that is cooked in coconut oil is also high in saturated fat……….saturated fat is bad fat…….very bad……..too much of it in your body…..over time can start to clog your arteries………which restricts blood flow around the body and too the heart which leads to heart problems, heart disease, heart attacks??>…….and too much saturated fat causes obesity which has a whole range of health problems with it as well…….it is best to eat healthy benefical fats like polyunsaturated and monounsaturated which is in olive oil, nuts, fish, avocados…..these fats help to take this bad fat away from your arteries……and back to the liver where it is used……..these fats also help to protect you heart……….so i would not eat anything cooked in those fats coconut, palm oil, i would just have things with olive oil………
