Tracey Veivers has worked in the sport, exercise and performance psychology profession since 1991.
Tracey operates her own private practice (named Performance Perspectives) from within Health Place on James Street. She works with individuals and teams from a large variety of sports from the junior development level through to the professional level. This performance enhancement and wellbeing work has now extended to individual coaching where Tracey helps non-athletes also achieve their maximum potential.
Tracey has worked with the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra across all elite sports and in Brisbane with squash, diving, rugby union and canoeing. She travels domestically and internationally as a sport psychologist with Australian representatives to sporting events such as National and World Championships, as well as the Olympic Games. Tracey is currently a service provider as a Sport Psychologist with the Queensland Academy of Sport.
Tracey is a consultant to a major health organisation, has presented at international conferences, has publications in the SportsMed News, The Modern Athlete and Coach and the Triathlon and Multi-Sport magazine. She has also regularly been quoted on television and in national newspapers on topical editorials, and is a regular guest lecturer in sport and exercise psychology at Queensland University of Technology and James Cook University more recently.
Specialities:
Tracey enjoys working with mainstream sports such as swimming, water polo, cycling, golf, tennis, track and field, triathlon/ironman, cricket, and rowing. Her specialty is ‘Team Processes’ within organisations and also at the elite level in sports such as AFL, basketball, soccer, softball, netball and rugby union. She also enjoys working with sports such as figure skating, gliding, equestrian and motor racing and has an interest in assisting performing artists.
Tracey also provides services in the areas of weight and health management and infertility counselling.
Renee’s love of sports started early; growing up doing gymnastics, athletics, playing netball and field hockey. It was seeing a sports dietitan after reaching state level in field hockey that sparked her interest in the profession. With a love of all things sport and food, a career in sports nutrition was the natural progression.
Renee graduated from the University of Canberra in 2009 and quickly followed up with the International Olympic Committee’s Sports Nutrition diploma. Most recently she put her knowledge into practice where she worked tirelessly to ensure Andrew Abrahams was well fed in achieving his World Record ‘million metre row’.
Now as an avid runner she has developed a personal interest in nutrition for endurance events and enjoys helping other athletes achieve their sporting goals through optimising nutrition.
Renee is also a specialist gastro-health dietitian – she has worked in one of Brisbane’s largest hospitals for several years, and is particularly proficient at solving issues that come along with inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and food intolerances.
Renee works at Health Place on James Street, Fortitude Valley under the Apple To Zucchinni brand.
